Data Center Technician

## About the role As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT) Québec City, you will stage, set up and perform hardware deployments. In addition, you will also perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, as well as perform hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. ## Responsibilities ### Opérations du Centre de Données - Respecte les politiques, procédures et délais de l'unité commerciale du centre de données, avec l'accompagnement de techniciens expérimentés et/ou de la hiérarchie directe. - Remonte les problèmes liés à la conformité ou aux activités d'assurance opérationnelle à la hiérarchie directe. - Traite les tickets assignés de manière efficace et conforme aux indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) pertinents selon le type de tâche, de façon autonome. - Fournit des conseils et/ou assiste les techniciens moins expérimentés sur des tickets ou des tâches complexes, et escalade de manière appropriée les tickets difficiles ou complexes aux techniciens plus expérimentés si nécessaire. - Démontre une compréhension appliquée des processus et procédures standards pour la préparation, l'installation, le diagnostic, le dépannage, le remplacement et/ou la mise hors service des technologies et équipements informatiques du centre de données. - Démontre une compréhension fondamentale des fonctions et des interactions entre l'infrastructure de câblage, le réseau, les serveurs et les équipements de stockage. - Examine les notifications de changement de processus (PCN) et développe une compréhension de leur impact sur l'exécution du travail ainsi qu'une sensibilisation aux changements dans son domaine d'activité et/ou celui des autres. - Pose des questions lorsqu'il/elle ne dispose pas des informations nécessaires et peut fournir des retours sur les c ## Requirements of the Role This job will require you to, among other things: - Occasionally climb ladders - Frequently climb stairs and/or ramps - Engage in prolonged standing - Occasionally engage in lifting (up to 50lbs./22.5kg) - Occasionally engage in pushing or pulling (of up to 50-75lbs. / 22.5-34kg) that may be assisted or unassisted with an assistive device - Regularly and frequently exercise fine hand manipulation - In this environment, you may be asked to go on business travel to support other metros periodically, 0-25% of the time ## Notice Before you submit your application, please scroll-down and select the site of your choice English | FR - Canada (in the footer).
