DevOps / Automation Platform Engineer
This Hybrid Role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in: Wayne, PA, Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX or Charlotte, NC.
In this role, you will:
• Build and mature Infrastructure as Code practices across Workplace platforms using Terraform and Atmos, enabling teams to manage systems “as code.”
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines (primarily GitHub Actions) aligned to GTO standards, including quality gates, promotion patterns, and deployment safety mechanisms.
• Identify, evaluate, and operationalize Terraform providers and integrations for Workplace platforms; guide teams on provider usage, patterns, and lifecycle management.
• Onboard platform teams to Terraform/Atmos and GitHub-based delivery, including repository structure, workflow templates, environment strategy, and guardrails.
• Create shared automation frameworks and self-service tooling to reduce manual operational work and improve delivery speed and consistency.
• Develop integrations and automation services using APIs and scripting (PowerShell/Python) across endpoint, mobility, VDI, and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Improve release quality and platform stability through automated validation, testing patterns, observability, and disciplined release governance.
• Partner closely with platform engineers, security, infrastructure, and networking teams to embed automation-first practices and standard engineering patterns.
• This role is also expected to challenge the status quo, drive process improvements, and champion a strong DevOps and engineering culture across Workplace Engineering.
Technical Requirements:
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Atmos, or similar frameworks).
• Proficiency in software development
• Experience integrating systems using REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of Git-based workflows, code review, and reusable modules/templates.
• Familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, and operational observability concepts.
• Experience supporting enterprise endpoint or collaboration platforms is a plus (Windows, macOS, MDM, VDI, Microsoft 365).
What it takes:
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, automation, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across teams, influence standards, and enable others through documentation and coaching.
• Willingness to be learn and work with various languages.
• Strong planning, organization, and delivery discipline.
