Responsibilities
Design and evaluate engineering solutions for electrical and electronic components in accordance with regulatory requirements; Develop and execute test strategies for EMI, EMC, immunity, safety, reliability, and thermal performance; Lead regulatory compliance activities from architecture through launch; Represent the Electrical Hardware organization on global regulatory requirements; Lead internal and outsourced teams in delivering compliance solutions; Partner with engineering leadership, suppliers, and OEM/ODM partners to resolve technical issues; Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced engineers; Participate in hardware and material design reviews; Develop regulatory strategies and estimate certification costs; Manage global product certification activities; Review and validate regulatory test reports; Collaborate with Safety Agencies (UL, CSA, TÜV) during early design phases; Troubleshoot complex Safety, EMC, EMI, Telecom, and Wireless design issues; Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and incorporate them into NPI processes; Serve as a subject matter expert for regulatory questions and certification documentation.
