Backend Developer (Node.js/Nest.js)

## About the role Zexter is an ambitious product company building its own technological ecosystem in the iGaming industry. We develop our proprietary platform, which is already live and actively operating, while continuously expanding our product portfolio. This enables us to adapt quickly to market demands and rapidly introduce new innovations. ## Responsibilities - Experience developing and maintaining high-load production systems. - Experience working on systems where financial accuracy, idempotency, transaction consistency, and auditability are critical. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-structured code. - Strong ownership mindset, taking responsibility for features from implementation and testing through deployment, monitoring, and production incident resolution. - Experience with code reviews, debugging, logging, monitoring, and production incident investigation. - Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, transactions, and provider integrations. ## Requirements - 4+ years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript. - 4+ years of hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases. - Strong SQL expertise, including: - Query optimization for high-load systems. - Index design and performance analysis. - Transaction management and concurrency control. - Identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks. - 3+ years of commercial experience with NestJS. - Excellent understanding of: - Dependency Injection. - Modular application architecture. - Clean Architecture and software design principles. - REST API design and backend service architecture. - Solid experience with automated testing (unit/component and integration tests). - Experience with load and performance testing, including bottleneck identification and validating system behavior under heavy traffic. - Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions, implementation details, and associated risks. - Ability to work effectively under deadlines and independently prioritize tasks. ## Nice to have - Practical experience using AI-powered developer assistants (Cursor, Claude, or similar). - Experience with Redis, message queues, background jobs, and event-driven architecture. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. ## What we offer - Work Format: Fully remote. - Compensation: Negotiable based on experience. - Growth: Opportunity to work with a modern technology stack, a strong engineering team, minimal bureaucracy, and AI-powered development tools that help eliminate routine work. ## About the company Zexter is an ambitious product company building its own technological ecosystem in the iGaming industry.
