Back-End Web Development Team Lead

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and results driven Back-end Web Development Team Lead to join our fast-paced Web Development team. Reporting directly to the Head of Web Development, you will combine hands-on backend development with team leadership, mentoring developers across all seniority levels while ensuring high technical standards and a collaborative team culture. ## Responsibilities - Develop and maintain modules of the company's custom-built CMS and backend systems supporting our websites. - Build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with third-party systems and databases. - Lead, mentor, and support the Back-end Web Development team through technical guidance, coaching, and performance management. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in development. - Collaborate with Front-end Developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable web solutions. - Research and evaluate new technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and modern workflows that improve code quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. ## Requirements - BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related field. - 9+ years of experience in back-end web development, including at least 4 years in a technical leadership or team lead role. - Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Experience mentoring developers across different seniority levels. - Native or near-native proficiency in English. ## Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of PHP or Python. - Knowledge of the Python Django framework is a strong advantage. - Experience with REST APIs, backend integrations, and databases. - Familiarity with JavaScript and modern libraries/frameworks such as React, Angular, or jQuery. - Good understanding of modern HTML/CSS. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern development workflows is considered an advantage. ## What we offer - Hybrid Work Model (2 days working from home) - Monthly Wolt Vouchers - Comprehensive Health & Life Insurance - Provident Fund (Upon completion of the trial period) - Summer Short Fridays (August) - Additional Paid Annual Leave (up to 30 days, based on years of service) - Birthday Leave - Training & Education Allowance - Udemy Business access - Gym Membership - Referral Bonus Program - Additional Support - Visa Sponsorship and Relocation Assistance
