Systems Development Engineer, Enterprise Engineering

## Responsibilities - Design, implement, and ensure the quality of services for Amazonians. - Build, enhance, and maintain extensible services used across Amazon. - Leverage serverless systems such as DynamoDB, Lambda, Secrets Manager, API Gateway, among others. - Write code and create self-service oriented solutions to meet diverse customer needs. - Perform traditional Systems Engineering and develop scripts, applications, or mechanisms to manage infrastructure. - Support and maintain systems in a high-availability, secure, and reliable environment. - Provide scheduled after-hours paging for high-severity events related to all team services and systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and customer needs. ## Requirements - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. - 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience. - 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling). - Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems). - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby. - Must be an Amazonian. - Must be available for scheduled after-hours paging for high-severity events. ## Nice to Have - Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java. - Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology. - 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. ## Benefits - Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. - Base salary range: $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually. - Sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) included in the compensation package. - Opportunity to make a difference in Amazon's business and realize the company's motto: 'Work Hard.
