Software Development Engineer II, Alexa Smart Home Cameras

## Responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer on the Cameras team, you will lead the technical aspects of Cameras customer experience on Echo, FireTV devices and engage with experienced cross-disciplinary teams to design, implement and bring to market innovative products and features. You will - • Design and build reliable, high-performance applications for a variety of Amazon devices (e.g., Amazon Echo, FireTV) at a high-quality bar • Drive and lead software design, development standards, team processes and code reviews. • Optimize software libraries for low latency, CPU and memory footprint. • Deliver high-quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver the best product for our customers • Contributing to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices. ## Requirements - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience ## Nice to Have - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent ## Benefits Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
