## Responsibilities A successful technology leader at Amazon is a hands-on business, technology, and operations leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. While they rely on data, they are equally effective in making judgment-based decisions. They detect signal from noise, and prioritize ruthlessly in the interest of Amazon customers. Frequently, they have to make bold decisions in a timely manner. They think out of the box, and encourage and support their teams in doing so. They communicate effectively at all levels, including the most junior engineers to business and technology VPs and Directors at Amazon, in individual and group setting. You’ll lead multiple teams delivering the experience end to end, from design to deployment, evangelize it and ensure its operational excellence in production. Let’s build something special, and have a ton of fun doing it! ## Requirements - 7+ years of engineering experience - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems ## Nice to Have - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers ## Benefits The ABI Organization is chartered to enable Alexa outside of Amazon manufactured devices.
