Sr. Application Architect

## Responsibilities - Design and build well-architected, cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services (EC2, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Auto Scaling, etc.) - Architect AI/ML solutions using AWS AI services (Bedrock, SageMaker, Amazon Q, Rekognition, Comprehend) - Guide customers through the AI Development Life Cycle (AI-DLC) — from data readiness and model development to deployment and continuous improvement - Design Generative AI and Agentic AI architectures that are secure, scalable, and cost-optimized - Advise on responsible AI practices including governance, explainability, and bias detection ## Requirements - 10+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience - 10+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience - 10+ years of software development with object oriented language experience - 10+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent - Travel up to 30% of the time ## Nice to Have - 6+ years of leading development of applications backed by AWS services or using other cloud based technologies and services experience - Experience with designing and building application using AWS services such as Lambda, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes - Experience in one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C - Experience in professional, non-internship software development, or experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing - Experience with CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments - Familiarity with AI-DLC data preparation, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and deploying Generative/Agentic AI solutions ## Benefits - Work/Life Balance - Inclusive Team Culture - Mentorship and Career Growth - Diverse Experiences - Why AWS ## About the Team AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
