Senior Manager, Data Center Systems, Data Center Automation

## Responsibilities - Lead the development and operation of services that collect power and cooling equipment data in Amazon data centers. - Directly manage Software Development Engineers and serve as a manager-or-managers for Software Development Managers. - Build global cloud monitoring applications using device telemetry from industrial control systems. - Ensure data center systems are designed with high reliability, security, availability, scalability, and low latency from the outset. - Establish development standards, best practices, and drive operational excellence throughout the team. - Hire and develop the best engineers to accomplish the organization's goals and mission. - Build relationships with peers to ensure the group uses the right AWS services and methodologies for the company’s scale. - Collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. - Join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. ## Requirements - 7+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experience. - 5+ years of engineering team management experience. - Experience partnering with product or program management teams. - Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment. ## Nice to Have - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. - Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications. - Experience establishing metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence. ## Benefits - Inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. - Work-life balance and flexibility. - Mentorship and career growth opportunities. - Access to AWS resources and collaboration with diverse teams.
