Responsibilities
Provide daily engineering support to production teams for manufacturing issues and process challenges; Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing problems using structured root cause analysis; Develop, improve, validate, and maintain manufacturing processes, assembly methods, work instructions, fixtures, tooling, and production documentation; Drive improvements in safety, quality, first-pass yield, labor efficiency, throughput, lead time, and overall process capability; Collaborate with Quality and Production teams on nonconformances, corrective actions, process validations, and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions; Manage and support Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders; Maintain and improve Bills of Material (BOMs), drawings, routings, specifications, and other manufacturing-related engineering documentation; Design or modify fixtures, tooling, components, and manufacturing solutions using 2D and 3D CAD tools; Plan and execute engineering trials, testing, data collection, and process validations; Monitor manufacturing performance using metrics and KPIs; Support production line balancing, capacity analysis, time studies, standard work, workstation improvements, and manufacturing layout changes; Participate in and lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; Partner with Supply Chain and suppliers to address component-related production issues; Support new product introductions and product transfers by ensuring production processes, documentation, tooling, training, and validation requirements are ready.
