Public Competition for Admission to Doctoral Research Programmes at the University of Milan – a. y. 2026/2027

Role Overview:
The University of Milan is instituting doctoral research programmes for the academic year 2026/2027 (42nd cycle — start dates 1 November 2026). These programmes are subject to accreditation by MUR and checks to verify ongoing compliance with accreditation requirements. The programmes include Agriculture, environment and bioenergy, Molecular and cellular biology, International and Public Law, Ethics and Economics for Sustainable Development – LEES, Translational medicine, Multiscale Integrative Biology (MIB), Clinical research, Literature, arts and environmental heritage, Nutritional sciences, Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacological biomolecular sciences, experimental and clinical, Food systems, Veterinary and animal science, and Studies on Organized Crime. Competitions for admission to these programmes are based on qualifications and exams.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include participating in doctoral research programmes as per the specified research topics identified by the competent Faculty of Instructors. The research topics are selected in accordance with the University Regulation for PhD Programmes and Students.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must have qualifications and pass the admission exams set out in the decree.
- International applicants who are in receipt of scholarships issued by their country of origin may be admitted in excess of the enrolment quota, if they pass the admission exams.
