About SUAT
Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology (SUAT) is a newly established and highly rated university in Shenzhen, a city full of charms, energy, vitality and innovation. With the support of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology as well as it's abundant resources in science, education, and industry, SUAT will build a first-class and new-type research university with "high starting point, high standard and high quality".
SUAT has already attracted a cohort of outstanding scientists from major research institutes and universities around the world. Bolstered by excellent scientific, educational, and industrial resources from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, SUAT fosters interdisciplinary research and training, integrates research and entrepreneurship into education, and aims to be a world-class university of science and technology. With a trinity of colleges (academic colleges, research institutes, and residential colleges), SUAT nurtures students through a three-track educational system encompassing basic science, engineering, and entrepreneurship. It embraces a philosophy of educating elite undergraduates, tailoring the instruction towards the education of outstanding scientists, exceptional engineers, and innovative entrepreneurs.
In 2024, SUAT has enrolled its first cohort of 120undergraduate students in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics track. The 120 strong SUATers were among the highest-ranked high school students from Guangdong Province with a minimum admission score of 624, which exceeded the undergraduate admission line by 182 points. In 2025, SUAT enrolled a total of 360 undergraduate students across eight provinces/autonomous regions: Guangdong Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Sichuan. All SUATers were high-quality candidates, with the following minimum admission scores: Guangdong: 629,Inner Mongolia: 643,Zhejiang: 653, Jiangxi: 613,Henan: 647,Hubei: 621, Hunan: 627, Sichuan: 636.
To meet the challenges of emerging science, technology and industry and to energize the emerging productive forces, SUAT has established seven faculties, namely the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, the Faculty of Synthetic Biology, the Faculty of Materials Science and Energy Engineering, the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering and the Faculty of Computility Microelectronics, in addiction to a number of research institutes including the Institute of Cell and Gene Technology, the Institute of Emerging Agricultural Technology, the Institute of Higher Education, the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of SUAT, the Institute of Advanced Medical Devices, the Future Medical Center, the Bio-X International Institute, the Frontier Energy Technologies Institute, the Institute of Microphysiological System.

Available Positions and Requirements
Individuals are invited to apply for one of the following positions:
01 Chair Professor
As the highest tier, applicants must have served as a Full Professor (or equivalent) for at least ten years and be recognized as leading authorities in their professional field. Candidates are expected to have exerted a profound influence on the advancement of their discipline or driven significant high-tech innovation and systems integration. Their contributions must be highly regarded by domestic and international peers, and they must remain capable of providing high-level instruction for core professional courses.
02 Distinguished Professor
Reserved for scholars who have served as a Full Professor (or equivalent) for at least five years, this role identifies academic leaders within their discipline. Candidates must have produced academic achievements that are widely recognized and respected by both domestic and international academic communities. In addition to their status as a subject matter expert and leader, they must maintain the capability to lecture core professional courses.
03 Full Professor
Applicants must have served as an Associate Professor for at least five years or held an equivalent senior academic position. Candidates should demonstrate sustained, high-level academic output and impactful results in technology transfer within their specialized field. This role requires experience leading national-level projects or equivalent major provincial, municipal, or industrial initiatives. Furthermore, candidates must have published multiple high-level papers as the first or corresponding author, applied for national or international invention patents, and possess the capability to lead core professional instruction.
04 Associate Professor (I)
Applicants requires a doctoral degree held for at least six years, or a minimum of four years of experience as an Associate Professor (or equivalent). Applicants are expected to have served as a Principal Investigator (PI) for the National Natural Science Foundation, major national/provincial/ministerial science and technology programs, or significant industrial projects. Additionally, they should have applied for national or international invention patents with strong industrialization prospects or successfully commercialized research findings. A record of high-level publications as the first or corresponding author and the ability to teach professional courses are mandatory.
05 Associate Professor (II)
Applicants should have held a doctoral degree for at least four years or served in an Associate Professor (or equivalent) position for at least two years. The candidate must demonstrate strong potential to spearhead national-level research, major industrial projects, or key patent applications, with a focus on achieving tangible technology transfer. Eligibility also requires a proven track record of publishing high-level papers as the first or corresponding author and the capability to deliver core professional curriculum.
06 Associate Professor (III)
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have completed at least two years of post-doctoral work experience. Candidates should demonstrate significant potential for leading national-level research or major industrial (horizontal) projects, applying for key patents, or achieving technology transfer and commercialization. Furthermore, candidates must have published high-level academic papers as the first or corresponding author and possess the pedagogical expertise to lecture core professional courses.
07 Postdoctoral Fellow
Applicants should be on the verge of obtaining a Ph.D. degree or have obtained one within the last three years, and in principle be no older than 35 years of age. They must possess a high level of academic accomplishment and strong research capabilities, with the ability to conduct scientific research independently.
08 Research Scientist
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree, have at least 2 years of postgraduate research experience, an excel-lent independent research ability and teamwork mentality.
09 Research Assistant
Applicants should hold a master degree and demonstrate the ability to assist in project research and the daily management of projects.
