Role Overview:
FCiências.ID is recruiting a Scientific Researcher with a PhD degree in the category of Initial Stage Researcher. The role involves leading the development of regional photovoltaic datasets and supporting activities related to solar resources, photovoltaics in urban environments, and integration in power systems within the scope of the ATARRI project.

Responsibilities:
1) Lead the development of regional photovoltaic datasets, particularly the Pan-European Climate Database (PECD).
2) Support activities concerning solar resource and photovoltaics in urban environments.
3) Support activities concerning photovoltaic integration in power systems.
4) Preparation and participation in project meetings and subsequent actions.
5) Dissemination of results and engagement of stakeholders.
6) Publication of results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and other means.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Admission Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Geophysical and Geoinformation Sciences, with a specialization in meteorology.
- Specialized skills in the field of photovoltaic modelling or associated fields.
- Demonstrated scientific and professional experience in the conversion of climate data into regional photovoltaic timeseries and with setting up urban photovoltaic case studies.
- Proven experience in managing scientific projects.
- Proven scientific experience demonstrated by the quality and number (minimum of 3) of scientific articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Note: Foreign degrees require Portuguese Recognition issued by a Portuguese high degree Institution.

Preferential Requirements:
- Proven experience in the implementation of operational climate services for energy.
- Knowledge on existing databases containing descriptive data of photovoltaic installations, individually or aggregated.
- Proficiency in Python coding, particularly in the use of the pvlib library.
- International R&D activity.
- Previous participation in international research networks.
